This is a great hair dyer for a great price! My daughter is a hair stylist and has the volare v1. After trying it I was so impressed, but wasn’t willing to pay the hundreds of dollars the salon was selling it for. I bought this one and I feel like it is every bit as powerful!! My hair is long, thick, and on the coarse side. I can dry my hair smooth with this dryer in about 12minutes or less! I enjoy running, which always requires a shower, and really needed something to get my hair dry quick! I love this dryer and I think you will too, you will be literally blown away!

This dryer is truly of professional quality. I have thick, very curly hair (mixed race). I don’t even need a hot iron anymore! A full head of shoulder length hair that used to take 60 to 90 mins(with a dryer I used to think was good) now takes 25-45 minutes to get to a bone straight/silky style. I feel like a freakin commercial actress– but I am real and looooove this product!

This dryer is a very good value. It has the most combinations of heat/air selections plus the cool shot. It’s a little heavier than the cheaper hair dryers availabe at local retailers, but it also performs much better.

Never again will I go back to a regular dryer. Who would have thought for only $10 more you could get a dryer of this quality? This dryer is very powerful, it cut my drying time in half. It works great for styling with a round brush, and is hot, but not too hot. It is also very quiet, despite its power. I love the attachment, it stays put once you put it on (unlike my former Vidal Sassoon dryer). Another great feature is the buttons are slide style, not toggle, so you don’t keep changing it on accident. I would definitely recommend this dryer.
Update 2 years later: I just bought another. My old one was still working, but the concentrator would not stay on because I dropped the dryer and the nozzle cracked and I think the wiring was going out (again due to being dropped many times). I looked around at other dryers but decided to get this same model because I truly loved it. Glad to see it was now available directly through Amazon.com with free shipping, last time I bought it through a merchant and paid $8.00 for shipping.

Yes, it’s a bit heavier than the cheaper models that run for about half the price, but it’s manageable. I like the long cord (didn’t think I would). It doesn’t get in the way and gives some room to roam when drying. The only issue I’ve had is that after a year some of the rubberized coating on the handle is peeling off. Other than that this is a high quality product and worth the price. The motor even sounds high quality!

Terrific dryer. It’s quiet yet powerful. My old 1850 watts hair dryer took 15 to 20 minutes to dry my hair. This dryer completes the task in under 10 minutes. The only drawback is you have to be careful not to opperate any other electrical appliance on the same circuit as it tends to trip the breaker. Otherwise I highly recommend this dryer.

My last hair dryer was a Conair 1875 watt dryer which made my hair look nice, but took absolutely forever to dry. I have pretty thick hair, and it would take AT LEAST 40 minutes to dry the majority of my hair. I’m not a morning person in any way, shape or form, and there’s no way I can afford an extra 40-60 minutes just to dry my hair. That being said, I end up going out in the cold winter weather with a partially wet head.

Well today has been the coldest day of the year, and I have to say, I was so thrilled that this new dryer came in the mail yesterday. Honestly, I was extremely skeptical when I saw the size of the nozzle, since it is much smaller than the one I was previously using. I was shocked when my hair was dry in about 13 minutes! I did not find the dryer that heavy at all. In fact, it felt the same as my old dryer, so no complaints there. It does have some weight to it, but nothing unmanageable, and it would not deter me from using it in the least. As other reviews mentioned, the only downside is that my hair did get tangled from all the hair blowing around, but if I’m going to be brushing it anyway, this wasn’t a problem either.

The results were great. No frizz, very few fly-aways, and sleek hair in less time. This is a keeper for me, and I won’t be going back to any other dryer.

I have been using this hairdryer for about a year. It is somewhat noisy, although when compared to others in this same category, it is one of the quietest. It has plenty of airflow and the warm setting makes it feel as though I’m at the salon. It’s a bit on the heavy side, but it dries hair quickly, so the weight is really not a big issue. I wish I would have noticed more difference in my hair because of the technology, but I haven’t. However, I use it every day and my hair stylist said I have great, undamaged hair, so even though I didn’t notice a difference, it must be working!

I bought this item because I was going to Europe for a month. I didn’t want the hassle of using a voltage converter because you can only use one electric item at a time, unless you buy more than one converter kit. You do need a plug adaptor, (these are relatively inexpensive), then you just switch the voltage, plug it in and it works great. I used it in Switzerland, France and Italy. When I came home to the States I just switched the voltage back and I now use it at home. It is small and takes up very little space in the suitcase. I would recommend it for anyone in need of a hair dryer traveling abroad.

The Andis 33805 Micro Turbo 1600W Dual Voltage Hair Dryer is a great little personal grooming appliance. It has two settings: Low and High. I use High almost exclusively, even though I have fine, short, grey hair because I don’t like to dawdle over grooming in the morning. Its dual voltage selections (125V/250V) would come in handy if travelling (with an added plug adapter). High produces a rapid stream of air that quickly heats up and stays at a steady, moderately high temperature. Low is appropriate if you spend more time styling with some degree of heat–producing a nice smooth and fuller result. However, I’m a Type-A character who wants the job done pronto, so this is my machine of choice. All dryers sound a little loud right in your own ear, but a family member says that the Andis is quieter than the Sunbeam I recently replaced.

I bought this device to replace a Sunbeam compact dryer, which replaced another Sunbeam, which was preceded by at least two Conairs, and a parade of various compact (mostly) dryers over the last 32 years. This is the BEST of the lot. I actually gambled and bought two at once because compact dryers are getting hard to find now, and my confidence has been rewarded.

If you are looking for a quick solution to get going in the morning after your shower, look no further. This one’s a winner!

Having recently broken my wrist and also having hand function issues, this is the perfect dryer for me. I also loved the price and it is supposed to be a high quality dryer that should last for years. So what else could you want? I have never used more than high and never use those cool shots or ionic type dryers. This fits my needs perfectly. Love it!

I bought two of these and they work perfectly. My wife uses another Revlon Turbo Dryer that is a similar model and we wanted to get two for the other bathrooms. These two work just as well with plenty of instant very hot air as the similar model that we already own.

I didn’t pay much for this hair dryer, but I sure do like it. I’ve had it about 1 month now, use it several times a week. It’s powerful and runs well. I’d recommend it for sure! Especially for the price! Why pay 50+ on something just as good?

Revlon RV408 Amazing!

I used this hairdryer in a hotel in Los Angeles. Loved it so much I took down the model number and immediately went to track one down for myself. Of course, found it on Amazon………..what don’t they have? Great price, but best of all this hairdryer weighs next to nothing. It only has one slider to control it, low, med, high heat, with low heat producing lower air flow, high heat producing highest air flow power, etc. Most hair dryers have separate air force and heat buttons. I actually like this better because I mostly use high heat, full blast, but to each his own. It does not come with those big diffuser attachments, but does have a great directional attachment to better concentrate the airflow in one spot. Average cold shot button. If you are looking for an inexpensive, no frills, light weight hair dryer, this is a great little one.

Revlon RV408 Great Buy

Bought this hair dryer several weeks ago to replace a Conair that had finally died. All I can say is this dryer has worked perfectly every time and drys my hair after showers with no problem and pretty fast. There was one time when after extended running it overheated and shut off on me. I simply let it cool down for 10 minutes and hit the reset button and it was back to normal. Very happy with the purchase and would buy it again. I should add that I do not expect any hair dryer to be silent and did not find the noise abnormal

Revlon RV408 Hair Dryer Good Price

This drier has been working great for me for the last few months and I’m pretty sure I am using it harder than most. I have it out at the barn with my horse and use it it dry him off after a workout and a bath. This means that while it is only working on short hair, it has a lot of surface area to cover and it holds up the whole time. Only bad thing I have to say is that the less than ideal environment with lots of dirt has caused me to see a fleck of rust or two on the front grill, but they don’t seem to be spreading and they haven’t given me any trouble.

It’s cheap and it works – what’s not to love? Full power is pretty strong and gets my hair dry within minutes. The heat is at a good level, not too hot and not cold. There’s also a cool button in case you want cool air for a moment. It’s also very light, which makes it easier to use and hold, especially if you have crazy hair like I do. Some people have said it’s loud, which is true, but it’s not much louder than most other hairdryers. I haven’t tried the attachments. Overall, it’s a good hair dryer and I would buy it again.
